How we claim your flight compensation

The process is simple. You give us the details. We do the rest.

Step 1

Tell us about your flight

Complete a short online form with your flight details, including the airline, flight number, date, and the type of disruption you experienced. You do not need to know whether you are eligible before submitting. Our team will assess your claim and let you know. The form takes less than 5 minutes.

Step 2

Upload your documents

You will need to upload your boarding pass and a copy of your passport or national identity card. If you have your booking confirmation or any correspondence from the airline, please include those too. All documents are encrypted and stored securely.

Step 3

Sign the Claim Assignment

By signing our Claim Assignment, you transfer your compensation claim to Flightremedy. This means you do not need to communicate with the airline yourself. The claim is ours to pursue. You will receive a PDF copy of the signed Claim Assignment by email immediately after signing.

Step 4

We contact the airline

Our team sends a formal compensation demand to the airline, citing the specific provisions of EC 261/2004 or UK261 that apply to your case. We handle all correspondence. Airlines are required to respond, though many attempt to delay or reject legitimate claims.

Step 5

We escalate if necessary

If the airline rejects the claim or fails to respond within a reasonable period, we escalate. This may involve a formal complaint to the relevant National Enforcement Body or, where appropriate, initiating legal proceedings in a court of competent jurisdiction. We cover all costs of escalation. If we are ultimately unsuccessful, you pay nothing.

Step 6

You receive your compensation

Once compensation is recovered, we transfer your 70% directly to your bank account, in full. Our success fee is 30% of the amount recovered. You receive the remaining 70%. For example, on a €600 EU261 claim, we retain €180 and transfer €420 to you. On a £520 UK261 claim, we retain £156 and transfer £364 to you.

How long will my claim take?

Timelines depend on how the airline responds. Most claims resolve without escalation.

Straightforward cases

6 to 12 weeks

The airline responds and pays without requiring escalation. This is the most common outcome. You will receive email updates at each stage and can track your claim status in real time via your account.

Escalated cases

6 to 18 months

The airline rejects the claim or fails to respond. We escalate to the relevant National Enforcement Body or, where appropriate, commence legal proceedings. We cover all costs of escalation. If we are ultimately unsuccessful after all available avenues have been exhausted, you are charged nothing.

We will never abandon a claim we believe to be valid. If your claim is escalated, we update you at every stage.
